The Short Version Brian Buffington loves helping teachers do more with technology. He’s passionate about using tech in creative, fun, and engaging ways. His background as a middle school teacher, musician, entrepreneur and youth minister gives him a unique perspective on K-12 education. Brian can inspire any crowd as a keynote speaker, workshop presenter, and musician.
The Long Version Brian Buffington is an EdTech pioneer, always sniffing out better ways to increase student engagement and learning through technology. He inspires thousands of teachers, admins, and students in regards to instructional technology strategies, professional media production, and digital living education. Brian has presented at national, state, and regional conferences, highlighting EdTech and science education. His background includes teaching middle schoolers about science, owning music venues and vintage clothing shops, and writing songs about cheese. His most recent endeavors include: “Camp Google”, a full day camp dedicated to student-centered projects using Google Apps, and launching a Virtual Reality Lab at a nearby elementary school. In 2017 he also broadcasted a cyber safety event on Facebook LIVE, “A Parent’s Guide to Raising Digital Natives”. When Brian is not playing with tech, he’s playing House Concerts and singing #happymusicforthemasses. Along with his wife Brooke, he owns a Creative Arts Company, Studio Blue. The Buffingtons reside in Northeast Georgia, where they raise 2 crazy kids and look for adventure.
Brooke is Brian’s partner in life. She’s the behind-the-scenes-but-front-of-the-boat, captain-esque, ship-steerer. A sort of backstage manager, if you will. Brooke is a writer, business owner, life-long learner, creator, and marketing guru, sharing inspiration and spouting off ridiculousness on the regular. She also prides herself in the highly esteemed (and coveted) position as Brian’s personal stylist and nutritionist, making sure this techni-colored (sports)coat show goes on…and on…and on.
